When autumn hesitates upon the branch,
the ocean claims the season’s boldest fire-
not in the silent rustle of the leaves,
but in the wild, tempestuous surge
where sunlight breaks across the towering crests.
We look for gold in forest canopy,
yet find it scattered on the tempest wave.
So too in us: when seasons shift unsure,
a brilliant light may strike from sudden storms,
revealing beauty where we least expect.

10月に入り記録的な長雨がやっと明けたと思ったら、
今度は、トリプル台風が発生しました。
この台風が海上を通過するのを見計らって、
今月は、茨城県の赤浜海岸まで出かけました。
台風の余波がつくり出す高波と、嵐の後の清々しい光が、
普段は見られない「波の景色」を見せてくれました。
いつもならこの時期は、紅葉をお届けするのですが、
今年は見頃が遅れていて、今月の配信には間に合いません。
そこで、過去のアーカイブから未発表の作品を選んで、
一足早く、紅葉のハイライトシーンをお届けすることにしました。
樹々の葉は、枯れ落ちる前に色鮮やかに紅葉します。
「人生が終わりを迎える前に、円熟した輝かしい時間が訪れる」
自然は、そう語りかけてくれているように感じます。
太陽を背に、大海の波を見て、地球に生きていることが感じられます。
紅葉、一枚一枚の葉が、すべて異なる色彩を持つことに感動しました。
大きな生命のうねりの一滴として、人もまた生かされ生きていること。
いのちの星・地球━を、光、水、空気の色、音、波動で味わえました。
人生も川のようないのちの流れ、故郷の大海と一つになるのでしょう。
