Japan recorded its hottest summer ever this year.
A long summer that brought sweltering, dangerous heat to the entire nation is now ending.
In early autumn warmth, the fields and mountains are vibrant with plants
and insects celebrating their brief existence as if lamenting summer’s end.
Life is sweet because it ends.
Because there is an end, the beauty of mortal life shines.
Such were my thoughts when filming, this time.
Please view this month’s landscapes from this perspective
and take a slightly different journey into the heart.
